Ant-Man 3 Will See Michael Douglas Return As Hank Pym

It was revealed last week that Ant-Man 3 was officially in production at Marvel Studios and that Payton Reed would return to direct, and we’ve just learnt that Michael Douglas will also be returning as Hank Pym.

Ant-Man 3 will also star Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, a.k.a. Scott Lang, but Michael Douglas also confirmed that the movie would start shooting in January 2021, which confirms our theory that the movie would be coming out in 2022.

He revealed this during an interview with Collider in which he said:

“The Marvel world has really been a blast! I love them, I’m having a great time. We’re starting a third [Ant-Man movie] in the beginning of January 2021.”

This means that Ant-Man 3 could slot into any of the 2022 release slots that Marvel Studios had previously announced.

The film could be in cinemas either on February 18, 2022, May 6, 2022, or July 29, 2022.

There’s not really knowing which one, but the Ant-Man films have all previously been released in July, so it’s safe to assume that they’re going to release the movie in the summer of 2022.

It’s still not known what will happen in Ant-Man 3, but it’s safe to assume that Cassie Lang will be involved in the movie somehow.

Avengers: Endgame introduced us to the older version of the character, who wasn’t affected by the snap, so she’s now old enough to follow in her father’s footsteps.

Apart from that fact, and the news that Hank Pym and Scott Lang will feature in the movie, not much is known about Ant-Man 3.

We still don’t even know whether Evangeline Lilly will be returning as The Wasp in the movie, but I really hope she does because she’s great.
