Netflix Is Rumoured To Be Planning Five Seasons Of Altered Carbon

It’s being rumoured that Netflix is now planning five seasons in total of their sci-fi/cyberpunk TV show, Altered Carbon which just had its second season.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Altered Carbon.

I love the show’s bravery and imagination, but I just hate the way it tells its story at times.

That said, Altered Carbon Season 2 did solve many of the issues I had with the show.

I thought it was far less complicated than Season 1.

Moreover, it featured a much better lead in Anthony Mackie as Takeshi Kovacs.

It’s now being reported that Netflix is planning to make five seasons of this show in total.

This is interesting because it must mean that a lot of people have been tuning in to watch it, which I wasn’t sure they were doing.

According to We Got This Covered’s sources (make of that what you will…), Netflix is looking to make at least three more seasons of the show.

This means they’ll probably have to get three more actors to sign on to lead each individual season.

I actually really like the premise of each season being lead by a different actor.

The first seasons saw Joel Kinnaman play Kovacs, and Mackie stepped into the role for the second season.

I wonder who’ll they’ll get to play the character in Season 3, then 4 and finally 5.

Perhaps they could get all the actors back for the final season and make a really trippy couple of episodes in which there are five different Kovacs.
