Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was hands down one of the best superhero movies of last year, and it’s now been announced that it’s coming to Netflix in just a few weeks.
2018 wasn’t a bad year at all for comic book movies. We got films like Ant-Man & The Wasp, which was fine. There was Aquaman from DC Comics, which was mad, but in a good way. There was, of course, Avengers: Infinity War.
However, there was also a small movie which came out called Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Okay, so it wasn’t that small. It actually ended up being kind of a big deal because it was hands down one of the best comic book movies to come out in 2018.
One could say it was one of the best comic book films to come out in the last ten years.
What was even more impressive was the fact that it had to go up against the likes of Avengers: Infinity War and Aquaman, which were two juggernauts of the comic book genre. All three films came out in 2018, and in retrospect, 2018 was a great year for the genre.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse then went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, which is a big category and it had some stiff competition. It looks like Hollywood stood up and took notice of Sony Animation’s Spider-Man flick.

It seems as though Netflix has as well since they revealed via Twitter that the film would be coming to their streaming platform in June, which is only a few days away.
They wrote: “Come for the awe-inspiring animation style(s), stay for a beautiful story about the importance of family, teamwork, and believing in yourself.”
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse arrives June 26!” they finished, and I cannot wait to watch this film again.

It’s a real pleasure to watch. It looks incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie quite as pretty as this one. It has a good fun story and is full of fascinating characters. It also has more Spider-People than you could possibly imagine.
Believe me, if you haven’t seen Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse yet, now’s your time to go and watch it. Or, wait until June 26th and then catch it on Netflix. Whatever floats your boat.
