The First Trailer For Robert Rodriguez’s Alita: Battle Angel Is Here

The trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s long-awaited sci-fi film, Alita: Battle Angel, is finally here. Check it out right now!

This one’s been a long time coming but 2018 will mark the release of Robert Rodriguez’s big sci-fi movie, Alita: Battle Angel. This was a movie that was on James Cameron’s bucket list for quite some time. This film will be an adaptation of Yukito Kishiro’s Japanese manga, Battle Angel, which had a 90s anime adaptation in Japan. The project was brought to Cameron’s attention by none other than Guillermo Del Torro himself. It’s a well-known fact that the Mexican direct is a huge manga fan and he obviously thought that Battle Angel would benefit from a Cameron movie adaptation.

However, Cameron was just far too busy working on his Avatar sequels and he decided to pass on the project to Robert Rodriguez and now the movie’s almost here. It’ll tell the story of how a cyborg, Alita (Gally in the original manga), was rescued from a scrapheap and fixed by a nice scientist Dr Dyson Ido, played by Christopher Waltz in the movie. The film will then follow the innocent and disorientated Alita (who has a severe case of robotic amnesia) as she goes on her journey to find answers and rediscover her past.

Cameron’s hand will still be felt in this project since he is the film’s producer and the film’s cutting-edge CGI is a clear example of his involvement. Gally, who’s being played by Rosa Salazar, looks sublime in this trailer, especially her big doll-like eyes.

Alita: Battle Angel will be heading to UK cinemas on July 20th, 2018. What did you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments below.
